After a highly successful final round, the Scorchers have deemed no change necessary to the squad for Thursday's semi-final against the Thunder.
After a tough stint saw the Scorchers suffer four consecutive losses and slump to seventh on the ladder, a finals berth seemed unlikely.
Six games in seven days saw the side earn a much deserved two week break, during which they recuperated, made the appropriate changes, and came back stronger than ever for the final round of the regular season.
Two emphatic wins over the Renegades in Adelaide helped the side clinch fourth place on the ladder to sneak through to the finals, and the side looked more refreshed and dangerous than ever.
Opener Elyse Villani carried her bat in both games, enabling the middle-order to rest up and watch the show from the dugout.
England star import Katherine Brunt had figures of 2-12 and 2-14 from the final round off three and four overs respectively, while Nicky Shaw was in better form than ever as she took 2-19 and 3-28 of each of her four overs.
The well-known saying ‘don’t change a winning team’ couldn’t be more relevant for the girls in orange, as coach Lisa Keightley has named the same winning squad to take on the Thunder in Thursday’s semi-final.
Perth Scorchers Squad: Nicole Bolton (c), Megan Banting, Suzie Bates, Emma Biss, Katherine Brunt, Piepa Cleary, Charlotte Edwards, Heather Graham, Katie Hartshorn, Chloe Piparo, Nicky Shaw, Elyse Villani, Jenny Wallace.
The match will be played as a double-header with the first semi-final of BBL|05 between the Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Thunder taking place at the completion of the WBBL semi.
The clash will be televised live on Channel One from 11:40am AWST.
