The Perth Scorchers today announced the following injury update to contracted player Jason Behrendorff:

Injury: Stress Fracture (lower back)
Status: Four months rehabilitation program
WACA medical staff have reviewed scan results taken this week of Behrendorff’s lower back and determined he will be unavailable for selection for the remainder of Western Australia’s Sheffield Shield season.
Behrendorff had been managing a stress fracture in his lower back throughout the KFC Big Bash League and will now require an extended period of rest to allow the injury to heal.
Jason will undergo a period of rest and rehabilitation over the next four months, with a view to return to bowling mid-year.
