The Perth Scorchers have today added wicketkeeper-batsman Josh Inglis to the Club’s 18-player squad as a replacement player for Mitchell Marsh.
Marsh is currently unavailable for the Scorchers due to national team duties, having been named in Australia’s 14-player squad for the Victoria Bitter ODI Series against Pakistan starting today.
Inglis, 21, was the top scorer in Alcohol.Think Again WA Premier Cricket in the 2014-15 season with 1137 runs at an average of 66.88 for Joondalup and has been a contracted Alcohol.Think Again Western Warriors player the past two seasons.
He was the stand-out player for a Cricket Australia XI against Pakistan in a one-day match in Brisbane earlier this week, with 70 from 64 balls.
Inglis also played for the Cricket Australia XI at the 2016-17 Matador BBQs One-Day Cup, where he produced a blazing 68 from 38 balls against South Australia.
Any replacement player must play in the starting XI or be selected as 12th man for the upcoming match.
