Perth Scorchers duo Chloe Piparo and Katie Hartshorn produced top form in the Female A-Grade T20 competition ahead of the Rebel Women’s Big Bash League.
The WBBL begins in less than a month, with the Scorchers’ first home game on Saturday 17 December against Brisbane Heat at #TheFurnace.
Katie Hartshorn (South Perth)
Hartshorn was another key contributor with ball in hand taking an economical 3-10 from her four overs, dismissing the dangerous Megan Banting for 30.
Megan Banting (Subiaco Floreat)
Banting continued her run scoring spree making 30 from just 18 balls, with the innings including five boundaries. Her day was uneventful behind the stumps, as her side suffered a tight loss.
Emma King (Subiaco Floreat)
Captain King had a quiet day Subiaco Floreat in their narrow loss. After being bowled for a for a duck by Mel Cameron, King recorded figures of 0-29 from her four overs.
Chloe Piparo (Midland-Guildford)
Piparo was the star of the day for Midland-Guildford hammering 84 from 63 balls in a match-winning performance. Her innings included seven boundaries, as her side posted a competitive 4-160.
Heather Graham (Subiaco Floreat)
Graham was away playing for the Governor-General’s XI against South Africa on Sunday. She bowled just three overs, taking 0-15. She followed that up with 18 from 34 balls with the bat.
Piepa Cleary (South Perth)
Cleary was economical for the Governor-General’s XI. She opened the bowling and took 0-31 from her eight overs before remaining one not out as the side passed the visitors total in a tense run chase.
