To celebrate 10 years of Perth Scorchers in the Weber Women’s Big Bash League, the Club is set to name its Team of the Decade representing the very best players from its storied history.
Perth Scorchers to select Team of the Decade
From record-breaking performances to unforgettable moments, the Scorchers have featured some of the most talented cricketers in the league.
Current WBBL all-time leading run-scorer Beth Mooney and captain Sophie Devine are among a shortlist of 18 players to be whittled down for inclusion in the final XI.
Perth Scorchers WBBL Team of the Decade will be revealed during a special presentation at the Scorchers ‘WBBL|10 Celebration’ match against Hobart Hurricanes on 23 November at the WACA Ground.
WA Cricket General Manager High Performance & Elite Teams Kade Harvey and Christina Matthews AM, Australia’s most-capped female Test player and former WA Cricket Chief Executive Officer will have final oversight over team selection, highlighting their influence on the Club across the past decade.
The Club’s passionate Members and fans can also choose their favourite players (including their choice of captain) from a list of nominees, featuring iconic Scorchers stars and standout performers from the past decade.
All completed entries will go into the draw to win a Weber® Family Q+® Premium an exclusive at-match experience at the iconic WACA Ground, and five tickets to the WBBL match against the Hurricanes.

The initiative is part of a league-wide celebration of the WBBL with each Club putting forward a Team of the Decade, culminating in the league revealing its best ever XI in the lead-up to the WBBL Finals.
