Perth Scorchers are proud to announce a new partnership with Containers for Change this KFC Men's Big Bash season.
Perth Scorchers welcome Containers for Change to the fold
Containers for Change is now an official Community Partner for Perth Scorchers BBL|14 campaign, along with a special brand presence at the upcoming Boxing Day Bash between the Scorchers and Brisbane Heat.
Perth Scorchers Interim General Manager Jess Keily highlighted both organisations’ commitment to sustainability and the support it gives the Western Australian community.
“Our values align closely with Containers for Change, highlighting a commitment to fostering strong social values and being a leading organisation in the community,” Keily said.
“Together, we look forward to creating unforgettable moments this summer.

Tim Cusack, CEO of WA Return Recycle Renew (WARRRL), the organisation that implements Containers for Change shared that Containers for Change was equally excited for its summer of cricket and its new partnership.

The Scorchers fan base spans across various demographics, attracting families, young people and WA cricket enthusiasts from all walks of life.
“Their summer season timing, family-friendly appeal, and local focus make them a powerful partner in reaching Western Australians and encouraging higher participation in Containers for Change which is crucial in reaching our container recovery goals.
Our community is doing an excellent job recycling their 10¢ containers at home. We now turn our attention to the out of home settings specifically the workplace, whilst one in three have a solution at work there is a big opportunity to close this gap and get more workplaces on board.
“Access to Containers for Change in all public settings, gives our community a real chance to dispose of their waste and recyclable materials as carefully as they do at home,” he said.
Containers for Change provides Western Australians with multiple ways to recycle their 10¢ containers.
Whether it be through a Depot, Self-serve Kiosk, Drop & Go station, donation point or their collection service, Containers for Change unlocks the potential in every 10¢ container.
Since launching in 2020, Containers for Change has more than doubled the State’s 10¢ container recycling rate, generating millions of dollars in donations and funding for schools, community groups, businesses, and individuals.
Recycling 10¢ containers through Containers for Change ensures resources such as plastics, aluminium, steel, and glass are reused again and again.
