Player Story

Peschel is one of the most experienced players in Perth’s squad, having represented the Scorchers 65 times since making her debut in WBBL |03.

The whippy right-arm quick has been a constant source of wickets in her time with the club, currently sitting equal third on the all-time club wicket-takers list (46 at 28.67) with fellow quick Piepa Cleary.

She also played a crucial role in Perth’s maiden WBBL title in WBBL |07, taking 2-23 off her four overs in the Final, including the crucial wickets of Tahlia McGrath and South African star Dane Van Niekerk.

She was a late starter to the game of cricket, after being introduced to the sport by her mother at the age of 15.

Taneale was called up to represent Australia in the World Women’s Indoor Cricket Championships in South Africa in 2011, she also played for WA at the Australian Women’s Championships in Canberra in 2008 and Brisbane in 2009.

The up-and-coming cricketer loves camping, fishing and going to the beach.

Expect to see plenty of wickets again from Pesch in WBBL |09.
