Perth Scorchers bowler Chloe Ainsworth spoke to the media following Perth Scorchers’ seven-wicket Weber Women’s Big Bash League victory against Hobart Hurricanes at WACA Ground yesterday evening.

Ainsworth earned Player of the Match honours in just her third game by taking 3-25. The performance took the 18-year-old’s tally of wickets for the season to seven, handing her the in the BKT Golden Arm award.
Spinner Alana King was superb with the ball and in the field, taking 2-26 from four overs, while Amy Edgar (2-16 from three) proved just as effective.
Star opener Beth Mooney (52 from 29 balls) produced her second consecutive half-century and her 39th in the WBBL, combining with Lauren Winfield-Hill (29 off 25) for a 68-run opening stand.
Number three Maddy Darke (45 not out from 33), produced her highest WBBL score as the hosts secured victory by seven wickets with nine balls to spare.
The Scorchers will travel to Melbourne on Friday, ahead of their clash with Melbourne Stars at CitiPower Centre on Sunday afternoon, starting at 12pm WST.
