Player Story

An exciting all-rounder who has already represented Australia in all formats, Mitch Marsh has made rapid progress after being earmarked at an early age as a future prospect. Marsh is a big-hitting middle-order batsman, who also provides a good right-arm medium-fast option with the ball.

Marsh hit a breakthrough Sheffield Shield century in the 2010-11 season before making his international debut in memorable style, smashing four sixes in a quickfire 36 in a T20 against South Africa. Marsh took 17 wickets in the 2011-12 Shield season and began the 2012-13 campaign well before a serious hamstring injury. However, Marsh returned with a superb century in the Ryobi Cup against Tasmania before winning a call-up to Australia's 2013 Champions Trophy squad. Marsh memorably scored three consecutive sixes in the BBL|03 BIG Final, but has rarely played in the BBL since due to international commitments.
